A few months after the launch of their first Hanukkiah, Richard Orlinski and jewbuzz join forces again around another emblematic object of Jewish tradition: the Mezuzah.
A collaboration born with the Hanukkiah
The first project imagined by Richard Orlinski and jewbuzz was unveiled for Hanukkah: a limited-edition Hanukkiah inspired by Richard Orlinski’s artistic universe.
The idea was simple: reinterpret an object deeply rooted in Jewish tradition with a more contemporary, colourful and instantly recognisable aesthetic.
From the moment it launched, the community’s response was immediate.
The 500 available Hanukkiot sold out in just 34 minutes.
That success quickly made both worlds want to continue their collaboration with a new creation.
Richard Orlinski reinterprets the Mezuzah
For this second project, one of the most ever-present objects in Jewish daily life was chosen: the Mezuzah.
Named “The Mezuzah”, this new creation carries Richard Orlinski’s visual signature while preserving the traditional function and symbolism of the object.
The goal was to offer a Mezuzah that could be chosen as much for what it represents as for its design.
A way of bringing Jewish tradition and contemporary creation into dialogue, without setting the two worlds against each other.
More than 2,000 Mezuzot sold
The success of the Hanukkiah continued with this second creation.
Since its launch, more than 2,000 Orlinski × jewbuzz Mezuzot have been sold.
This new success is gradually turning what was meant to be a one-off collaboration into a genuine shared universe built around objects from Jewish tradition.

When jewbuzz steps off the screen
Since its creation in 2017, jewbuzz was first built on social media.
Over the years, however, the media outlet has developed many projects beyond the screen: books, shows, events, community experiences and products.
The collaboration with Richard Orlinski is a direct part of that evolution.
After the Hanukkiah and now the Mezuzah, jewbuzz creations are finding their place directly in the homes of the community.
With “The Mezuzah”, Richard Orlinski and jewbuzz are writing a second chapter in a collaboration born from the desire to bring Jewish tradition, design and contemporary culture into dialogue.
